Sugar-Less Whole Wheat Banana Bread

Guilt-free and equally delicious - this soft and moist banana bread will have you swooning. Plus, because it doesn’t have any added simple carbohydrates, it’s a safe snack option for your little ones.

Sugar-Free Whole Wheat Chocolate Banana Bread

    Servings: 12 3/4" slices

    Ingredients:

• 2 eggs
• 1/2 cup melted avocado oil or olive oil
• 1/4 cup milk or plain yogurt
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
• 3 mashed ripe bananas
• 1 3/4 cups whole wheat flour
• ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon optional
• 1 teaspoon baking soda
• dash of salt
•3/4 cup dark chocolate chips
•3/4 cup chopped walnuts

Instructions:
• Pre-heat oven to 325F. Grease a 9x5 inch loaf pan and set aside.
• In a medium bowl, whisk the flour, cinnamon, baking soda and salt. Set aside.
• In a large bowl, beat eggs, oil, milk and vanilla for 2 minutes. Stir in the bananas, flour mixture and chocolate chips (or any other add ins of choice).
• Pour batter into greased pan, sprinkle with some cinnamon or banana slices (optional)
• Bake for 50-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.
• Cool for 10 minutes, slice and enjoy!

When I want a healthy snack, I make it more complete by adding either almond butter/peanut butter and fresh fruit on top. SO DELICIOUS!

Here’s what the bread looks like without any toppings! My son broke off a piece of the last slice. Whoops!

I venture out to try other brands and flavors but I find myself always returning to this guy. Amazingly delicious - probably because it’s fresher than the stuff that’s sitting on the shelves. If you live by a Sprouts, I highly recommend that you try this!
